Kingsway Christian School had over 40 students keenly participating in their after school golf clinics at various stages of Semester Two. Farmer Golf provided the professional golf tuition at the Kingsway golf practice facility, enabling the students of all ages and levels to advance their skills in the game of golf. Some students progressed to very high levels and are now getting more on-course golf experience at various outside golf clubs.
Supported by the WA Golf Foundation, the key elements of the tuition involve the students practising their short game skills in a small group setting, and can learn to mentor others too as they make progress. Students acquire points for specific skills routines and achievements, leading to them being awarded various iron-on badges and stripes (e.g. for putting, chipping or full-swing).
